RED EARTH DWARF GOBY
Trimma milta Winterbottom, 2002
     Almost uniformly orange-red, this small goby attains only about 1 in. Rarely seen or photographed, it occurs in Hawaii, French Polynesia, and many other Central and Western Pacific locations. The photo above was taken at Laupahoehoe, Hawai`i, at a depth of 70 ft. More information on this species can be found in Reef and Shore Fishes of the Hawaiian Islands by Dr. John E. Randall.
