Prosthiostomid? B

Nothing quite like this appears on the Newman & Cannon CD. The first two animals of uncertain identity were taken from the reef flat at Kaneohe Bay, O'ahu, at a depth of 16-19m on 5/27/17. They were found and photographed by the 2017 MarineGeo survey of Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, under the auspices of the Smithsonian Institution, the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, the University of Hawaii, and affiliated organizations/sponsors.

The worm in the top photo was 25 mm long. The one in the bottom photo was 11 mm. Photos provided courtesy of Cory Pittman. Photo 3 by Ryan Boerema shows a similar worm with eggs. It might or might not be the same species. Ryan photographed it under a rock at a depth of about 8 ft. at Kiholo Bay, Hawaii Island, in April 2024.
