ID from Newman & Cannon CD where bottom photo by Scott Johnson appears. Description from CD: "Background body colour cream-white, with orange-brown blotches in the middle and scattered yellow, black and white dots. Marginal band black and yellow at rim, interrupted with numerous transverse lines."

To the above we would add that the "orange-brown blotches" often fuse to form one large dark central blotch, as is the case with the
Hawai`i animals pictured below. This species varies considerably in appearance within its range (Red Sea to Hawai`i).
