Pseudocerotid 4
upper photo: Scott Johnson, Pupukea, O`ahu. Size: 25 mm.
lower two photos: J. Hoover, Pupukea,
Pupukea, O`ahu, at night.
bottom photo: J. Hoover, Lembeh Strait, Indonesia.

Black with narrow white edge. Pseudotentacles ruffled. "Genus uncertain." ID from Newman & Cannon CD where the three upper photos are reproduced. According to the CD, known only from Marshall Islands and Hawai`i. However, the bottom photo, from the Lembeh Strait, northern Sulawesi, Indonesia appears to be the same species.

Pseudocerotid A, photographed by Dennis McCrea off Kona, Hawaii, is similar, but Dennis's worm lacks ruffled pseudotentacles and the margin is light yellow, not white.
