Napili Bay, Maui, tidepool, under rock; about 160 mm

Body elongate, ribbonlike, ruffled when contracted. Background color pinkish. Resembles "Cestoplana sp. 3" from Newman & Cannon CD which has a light orange-brown background color. CD states: "colour may be due to food in gut." CD also notes that animal "tends to curl into a ball and fragments easily when disturbed. " However, according to Cory this animal did not fragment. The CD provides no length information for Cestoplana sp. 3.

The only location given by CD for Cestoplana sp. 3 is Guam.
