Thysanozoon or Acanthozoon E
photos from Kona Hawai'i. photo 1: Dianna Burkholder; photos 2-3 Kendra Choquette.

Kendra Choquette and Dianna Burkholder found this worm by day in September 2026 at 7M depth on the underside of a rock in a patch of Halimeda. There is nothing like it on the Newman & Cannon CD. The marginal pseudotentacles place it in the family Pseudocerotidae and the presence of papillae suggest either the genus Thysanozoon or Acanthozoon. It is not possible to know which of the two without a good photo of the underside..

More images or sightings of this unusual worm would be welcome.
