Canthidermis maculatus (Bloch, 1786)
     Also called Rough Triggerfish. A large triggerfish usually associated with drifting objects far from land and only rarely seen inshore. Smaller specimens are dark with white spots which often fade with growth. Large adults are gray. To about 20 in. All warm seas except Mediterranean.
